The Radiacs was formed in Sheffield , North England, a more famous place for the manufacture of steel than for music. Although the manufacture of steel was a major for the band, which was originally called The Epileptic Hillbillys, due to problems with the name they decided to change it and the big factor was tath Dale (vocalist ) worked in a steel manufacturing industry, and operated a machine that had the name " Radiation steel cutter", so they became the Radiacs.
Formed in the second half of the 80s , Dale Williams (vocals) and Paul Oxley (bass) played in a rockabilly band, while Shaun Williams (drums) in a punk band. When they decided to give life to Radiacs, called Billy Oxley for the guitar. Very influenced by Meteors, Sharks, Stingrays and the Restless, Radiacs soon began playing in places like Take Two in Sheffield, former home of shows, which earned them a participation on the famous collection of Link Records "Live And Rockin 'where also participate groups like King Kurt, Demented Are Go, Meteors, Tailgators among others ... the psychobilly scene grew and the Radiacs began to gain more fame, called to play in other countries in Europe such as Germany, France, Holland, Spain and Italy. They launched in 1989 the classic Hellraiser, this album featuring great classic songs loaded with rockabilly influences. Songs like Lost, Hellraiser, Radiac Wrath and a wonderful versions of Jungle Rock, Al Capone, Please Give Me Something and Shakin'All over. Now called as headliner at various festivals in 1990 release a live album with the recording on Take Two.
After three years without releasing anything Paul Oxley left the band (to join the Krewmen) and who assumes the bass is Charly Fallensfeller the bassist of the Scum Rats, and launch the band's last record " Going Strong ", the band just ended shortly after....
