The Skrunch - The Skrunch! (1989)

The Skrunch, named after a "Batman-sound", started in 1987 in Holland as a rocka/psychobilly band with no ambitions at all and they stayed that way till split up in 1991. Among the endless reservoir of Psychobilly bands emerging from the rockin' grounds of Holland, the SKRUNCH left their own mark in the history books of the genre. At that time in Holland there were lots of psychobilly bands with which they shared the stage like Batmobile, The Rockats, Ratmen and it wasn't difficult to find a place to play, so they played on different festivals in Holland, Belgium, Germany and even once in the USA with all the regular bands of that era. Here I name a few (to impresse!): Demented are Go, Highliners, Guana Batz, Krewmen, Batmobile, Phantom Rockers, Klingonz, Torment, Skitzo, Mad Sin, Frantic Flintstones etc....  The trio comes up with a clear, furious played up-tempo Rockabilly sound, with decent Ska influences and lyrics loaded with humour and good time attitude. This thirteen-track Tombstone Records 12´´ vinyl is unavailable up to this day.Enjoy!
