1988 was the year when rockabilly in St. Petersburg was born. The first attempt to play rockabilly was made by two bands, the Stannin' Jive Sweets who played rockabilly with the touch of be bop jive, and the Swindlers who played more expressive music influenced by neorockabilly and even psycho.The times rolled by and the Swindlers became a psychobilly trio and went outside of Russia to conquer the European scene.
